General Meetings are typically held on the 4th Tuesday of every month. We often team up with Golden Gate Trout Unlimited for programs, which may result in a different meeting day.
Our General Meetings are open to all club members and anyone else interested in the Mount Tamalpais Fly Fishers or fly fishing in general. These are informal and intended to be fun, all about fishing, with as little club business as possible. We often have a guest speaker, occasionally a presentation from one of our own members, or sometimes just a social night out.
We try to kick off each each meeting with some socializing, meet and greet new members, maybe a small demo of tying, knots, equipment, etc. Social time at 6:30pm, and our main presentations will follow at 7:00pm.
Occasionally, we have special events, dinners, or trips that take the place of our regular meetings. Please check the online Calendar or list of Upcoming Events for the latest details.
We hold meetings at several places in Marin, depending on meeting content and space availability. Our most common venues are The Junction in Mill Valley and the Marin Rod and Gun Club. Notice is given well in advance. Occasionally, we host speakers from afar through the Club's Zoom account.
Board Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
Board Meetings are open to all active club members. This is where all club activities get planned, scheduled, and coordinated; and is a great place for members to get more involved. We welcome all active members to come, present any issues or opinions, and/or pitch in and help with a club event or activity!
