Group trip to Manzanita Lake Thursday-Tuesday, May 28-June 2! This is a Fish On Your Own (“FOYO”) trip, so you can stay as little or as long as you like. The lake should be opening up around Memorial Day (May 25) after the ice has cleared. Plenty of camping onsite. Gather up some friends/family to fish the Ice Out on this jewel in Lassen Volcanic National Park!

Did you know there’s a good run of summer steelhead in the Trinity? Yeah, not a lot of people know that either, so you definitely want to come out for this one. You can fish either DIY or guided.

Cost to fish guided is $350 per person in a shared boat. Please note that if you register to fish guided, you will have 5 days to finalize confirmation and make payment after you register. Cancellation policy: If you sign up for this event and must cancel your spot, you will be responsible for finding someone to take your place. There are no refunds.

Lodging options include local hotels (Indian Creek Lodge, Weaverville Hotel), VRBOs, and camping. You will be responsible for booking your own lodging (except if you want to camp; in which case, contact Curtis).

Lodging options include hotels (Indian Creek Lodge, Weaverville Hotel), VRBOs, and camping. You will be responsible for booking your own lodging.

Sunday, October 4. This is a walk & wade DIY day trip, but a guide can be obtained with enough advance notice. Come fish the closest moving water we have with quality trout in it. Caution: For those who know, Putah can be pretty technical fishing, so if you’re a beginner fly fisher, this is a good chance to pair up with a more experienced angler to learn some of the tricks to figure out Putah.

Egg Bite on the Lower Sac, SAT, OCT 10 - Drift Trip (Saturday, October 10, 2026)

Sat-Sun, Oct 10-11. Guided Drift Boat trip; ~$325 per angler in a shared boat. Book one or both days. Good for fly fishers of any experience level. Come fish the Lower Sacramento River during the infamous Egg Bite. Every year (some better than most), salmon head up the Sac to spawn. And every year, those wily Lower Sac trout will park themselves just downstream of spawning salmon to gorge on stray salmon eggs. And that’s were we come in as anglers…

Sat-Sun, Nov 7-8. Guided Drift Boat trip; ~$350 per angler in a shared boat. Book one or both days. Good for fly fishers of any experience level. It’s fall steelhead time! Come chase the “fish of a thousand casts” from a drift boat on the Trinity River (so, way fewer casts). Good opportunity to chase “quality” fish over “quantity” of fish.

Lodging options include local hotels (Indian Creek Lodge, Weaverville Hotel) and VRBO/AirBnB. You will be responsible for booking your own lodging. Depending on interest, we might be able to book a VRBO/AirBnB to accommodate everyone. Details to follow.
