John Squires will be our speaker for Jan 14, 2016, 7:00 p.m., Rm 201 of the Corte Madera Town Center. This is a joint meeting with TU and looks to be a fun one. John is a registered Alaskan guide, long-time fly fisher, frequent presenter to fly fishing associations, and co-owner of Against The Flow Adventures.
In this presentation John will discuss how to plan and carry out a do-it-yourself float trip in the Bristol Bay area of Alaska. This is an in-depth presentation that will covers such topics as composition of your group, choosing your destination, logistics, safety, food preparation and storage, community and personal gear, clothing, fish and fishing gear, and expected expenses. Time permitting, John will also share the extraordinary beauty and opportunities afforded by fishing the Koktuli River in Alaska.

General Meetings are typically held on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Our General Meetings are open to all club members and anyone else interested in the Mount Tamalpais Fly Fishers or fly fishing in general. These are informal and intended to be fun, all about fishing, with as little club business as possible. We often have a guest speaker, occasionally a presentation from one of our own members, or sometimes just a social night out.
